Perdido Key prides itself on remaining one of the last unblemished stretches of beach along the Gulf Coast. With our protected dunes and beach habitat, Perdido Key is home to many species of wildlife that help to maintain the dunes and keep the area naturally beautiful. Picking up trash along the beach is one of the easiest ways you can contribute to preserving our beaches. Local organizations such as Clean Horizons, The Perdido Key Association, The friends of Pensacola State Parks, and others often organize beach clean-up events throughout the year. They will provide gloves and trash bags to volunteers to help pick up trash littering coasts and waterways.

The success of small businesses is vital to the success of Perdido Key’s local economy. The better the economy, the more the area can make improvements, and thrive for years to come. The Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce’s Business and Community Advocacy Committee meets monthly to discuss the community as a whole. Get involved in this committee to discuss ideas and programs to help support our small business economy here on Perdido Key.
