Multi-Use Path
Since the beginning of the Perdido Key Multi-Use Path in 2015, the Perdido Chamber has been a resource of information for the community members to stay on track with progress.
The Community update in 2018 had a guest speaker, Doug Underhill to discuss the updates for when the community can expect visible progress.
In May 2018- the announcement was made that the project had been fully funded for the first phase of the multi-use path.
The FL/AL TPO had public workshops in the Perdido Key Community Center to highlight the need for the path in this area.
Cross Walks:
After hearing much concern about the safety of crossing the street on Perdido Key Drive, the Perdido Chamber spoke with our state legislators and decided to start a petition to fix the crosswalk signage along the state road, from the bridge to the state line. A finalized petition would allow the crosswalk lights to be changed to red so that cars will have to stop for pedestrian traffic.
